Gyejoksan Park is located 429 meter above the sea level, and it is named as such since its mountain range spreads out like chicken feet. This is a mountain that many people frequent because it has water and Buddhist temple. Observatory is erected at the mountaintop.
When climbing this mountain, Daecheongho (lake) that unfolds between the forests comes across as blue, and the nighttime sunset that is visible from the mountaintop is worthy of view.
|
| In this mountain, there are tumulus ( mounded tomb) group, temple ruins, kiln ruins in addition to Gyejoksanseong (mountain fortress wall), and Biraeam (Buddhist temple), which is a Buddhist temple that traces back to the Joseon Dynasty remains, and the Bonghwangjeong (pavilion) of the mountaintop and the Jang-dong Forest that opened in June 1995 are used widely as resting space. In particular Gyejoksanseong (mountain fortress wall), designated as national cultural asset no. 355, is well known as the battle field of Baekje and Silla.
